IBS GmbH, short for Ingenieurbüro für Bahnbetriebssysteme GmbH (Consulting company for railway operating systems), provides consulting and software services for train operating and railway infrastructure companies.

Using powerful software, we support railways to solve their complex operational tasks. Besides software development and development of optimization algorithms for operational planning, our range includes railway traffic simulation, design and verification of schedules and operational concepts as well as the operational evaluation of infrastructure variants. Another field is the offer of consulting and support to railway companies in the development of tenders for regional rail transport services.

IBS was founded in 1994 in Hanover. Since July 2010 we are a subsidiary of HaCon Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH, based in Hannover. The well-versed employees of IBS have long-standing experience in research, development and consulting. In order to assure and continuously improve the quality of our services and products, we have implemented a quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2000.

Since mid-July 2009 one of the 60 MRCE Dispolok locomotives from the "Taurus" series carries our slogan "Consulting and software for railways". This locomotive is in service for various railway companies, primarily in the freight sector.
