The Consulting Company for Railway Operating Systems (IBS) is mainly specialized in all questions concerning railway engineering. Customers are railway companies like German Railways (DB AG) or Austrian Railways (ÖBB), but also local railways or public institutions. Beside german speaking countries we did also many studies for international railways worldwide. Main topic was the development and the investigation of new proceedings for more efficent railway operating.

Another priority of IBS’ activities is the development, installation and support of planning systems for local and long-distance railways. They are based on programme systems granted during a long-term consulting and determined for infrastructure and operational planning (SIMU or BAUPLAN), for maintenance planning (REIHPLAN) as well as for running time calculation. These programs are used by employees of railway companies (eg. DB AG or ÖBB) to achieve the utmost of existing capacities and to increase considerably the productivity and quality of planning and control processing.
