TaBu is a rostering system for rolling stock with graphical display of train allocations to locomotives or waggons. Times for maintenance works can also be included in the roster. 

Each allocation of a vehicle is displayed as rectangle which length represents the time of the allocated train run. For each train the number, start and final station and start and end time is marked. If a locomotive must be used for a fixed sequence of trains, these trains can be collected to a roster-group and allocated with a single step.

For using TaBu all existing timetable information can be imported. Additional data (special trains) may be defined by the planner. Allocation conflicts in case of not corresponding end- and start-station or -time is detected automatically.

The TaBu-system allows a quick information about locomotive and waggon allocations to trains. In case of delays or technical disturbances a quick disposition is possible by displaying available alternative vehicles.

Also for maintenance planning the TaBu-roster can be used. Time- or kilometer-distance for necessary maintenances can be calculated by the system, offering a maintenance prognostic.

All roster informations are archieved in a data-base-system for statistical use (e.g. calculation of performance).
