One priority of IBS' activities is the development, installation and support of planning systems for local and long-distance railways.They are based on programme systems granted during a long-term consulting and determined for infrastructure and operational planning (SIMU, BAUPLAN and Bfo-FfZ), for track maintenance planning (REIHPLAN) as well as for running time calculation. 

These programmes allow railway employees who work on system planning and system control to achieve the utmost of existing capacities and to increase considerably the productivity and quality of planning and control processing.
